Two Arrests Made in Flower Hill Grand Larceny Case; One Adult Male Suspect Remains At Large

FLOWER HILL, NY – Two adults have been arrested for a case of grand larceny that took place in Flower Hill on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 1:40 AM on Mason Drive, where a parked vehicle was targeted by three individuals.

A vigilant neighbor witnessed the three suspects entering the vehicle and promptly alerted police. Before authorities could arrive, the perpetrators managed to steal credit cards from inside the car and fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, law enforcement was able to apprehend two of the suspects shortly thereafter in the parking lot of the Manhasset LIRR train station.

The individuals who were taken into custody without incident have been identified as Tammy Sandoval, aged 22, of Fulton Avenue in the Bronx, and Logan Jones, aged 20, of W 145 Street in Manhattan. However, one adult male suspect remains at large, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him.

During the investigation, an item believed to be crack cocaine was discovered in Logan Jones’ possession, leading to an additional charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree against him. Both Sandoval and Jones are facing charges of fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree attempted grand larceny.

The defendants were arraigned on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the First District Court in Hempstead, located at 99 Main Street. Both are due back in court later this month. An ongoing investigation aims to gather further evidence and information that will aid in the prosecution of the remaining suspect and ensure a thorough and fair legal process for all parties involved.
