According to detectives, a 37-year-old male victim was sitting in his 2017 white Kia Sportage at a Shell Gas Station on 100 West Merrick Road when he was approached by the three female suspects. The suspects demanded the victim exit his vehicle. However, when the victim refused, a struggle ensued, resulting in the victim sustaining a stab wound to his back. While one of the passengers exited the vehicle and began walking eastbound on Polk Avenue, the other two suspects, identified as 20-year-old Laychelle Robinson and 19-year-old Arianna Smith, remained in the car and were apprehended without further incident.
Shortly after, officers spotted a female matching the third suspect’s description near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Van Buren Avenue, where the female juvenile was taken into custody without resistance. The victim, on the other hand, was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation of his injuries.
