According to detectives, Paul Igbide, 52, who worked as a Nurse Practitioner at West Hempstead Medical, allegedly engaged in inappropriate contact with a 19-year-old female patient.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY – An East Meadow man has been arrested in West Hempstead on charges of sexual abuse, according to the Nassau County Special Victims Squad. Paul Igbide, 52, who worked as a Nurse Practitioner at West Hempstead Medical, allegedly engaged in inappropriate contact with a 19-year-old female patient. The incidents reportedly occurred multiple times, starting on November 23, 2023.

The victim’s family member became aware of the inappropriate contact and promptly reported it to the Nassau County Police. Following a thorough investigation, Paul Igbide was arrested without incident on March 14, 2024.

Igbide has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse and two counts of sexual misconduct. He was arraigned on the same day at First District Court in Hempstead.
