COPS: Hicksville Woman Struck Nassau County Police Officer in Face Christmas Morning During Arrest

Stephanie Ceballos, 31, of Hicksville, was charged with second degree assault, third degree assault and forth degree criminal mischief. She was expected to be arraigned today, Thursday, December 26, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.

HICKSVILLE, NY Nassau County Second Squad Police have reported the arrest of a Hicksville woman for an assault they say occurred early Christmas morning, December 25, 2024 at 4:20 AM in Hicksville.

According to Nassau detectives, officers responded to a disturbance on Suggs Lane. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 52-year-old female victim was involved in an argument with defendant Stephanie Ceballos, 31. The argument escalated and the defendant broke the front the door. A physical altercation occurred resulting in the defendant striking the victim in the face. Ceballos was arrested at the scene without incident. The victim and defendant were taken to a local area hospital for treatment and evaluation.

According to officers at the scene, Ceballos became violent and combative and struck a Nassau County Police Officer in the face causing swelling, bruising and what was said to be “substantial pain.”

Defendant Stephanie Ceballos was charged with second degree assault, third degree assault and forth degree criminal mischief. She was expected to be arraigned today, Thursday, December 26, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
