LINDENHURST, NY – The Town of Babylon is organizing a career fair on April 30, 2025, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall Annex Gym in North Babylon. This event aims to provide career guidance and job opportunities for young adults and recent graduates who may not be pursuing traditional college paths. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from various sectors, including skilled trades, emergency services, healthcare, and local private sector companies.

The initiative is hosted by Town of Babylon Councilmen Anthony Manetta and Terence McSweeney. Their motivation stems from a 2023 survey by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which highlighted workforce shortages in the region due to factors such as an aging population, lack of affordable housing, and high cost of living.

The career fair is presented in collaboration with the Long Island Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, the Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, AFL-CIO, and the Town of Babylon Chamber of Commerce Collaborative.

To RSVP or obtain additional information, interested individuals can contact Councilman Manetta’s office at [email protected] or call 631-957-4482. The Town Hall Annex Gym is located at 281 Phelps Lane in North Babylon.
