Undercover Detectives Arrest Three Men After Investigation At Bellerose Terrace Convenience Store

Law enforcement officials apprehended three individuals in connection with these illicit activities: Ahmed Mahmood Ali, a22-year-old of Brooklyn, Mohamedou Mohamed Sidiya, 26-year-old, of Queens, and Mohamed Abdellahi, 27-year-old also of Queens.

BELLEROSE TERRACE, NY – The Nassau County Major Case Bureau recently made a breakthrough in a narcotics investigation, resulting in the arrest of three individuals for the criminal sale of a controlled substance. The incident took place in Bellerose Terrace on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at approximately 4:40 pm.

According to police, Undercover Narcotics Vice Squad Detectives launched an operation at Convenience and Smoke, a local establishment situated at 225-04 Jamaica Avenue. During the course of their investigation, the detectives successfully purchased items containing Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a psychoactive compound found in cannabis.

This discovery prompted a thorough search of the premises, during which Narcotics Detectives and officers from the 3rd Pct. POP (Problem Oriented Police) unit uncovered an extensive collection of THC-infused products. Additionally, they confiscated various cannabis-based items, as well as a large quantity of flavored nicotine products that were prominently displayed for sale.

Law enforcement officials apprehended three individuals in connection with these illicit activities:

  1. Ahmed Mahmood Ali, a 22-year-old resident of New Lots Avenue, Brooklyn.
  2. Mohamedou Mohamed Sidiya, a 26-year-old resident of 35th Avenue, Queens.
  3. Mohamed Abdellahi, a 27-year-old resident of 35th Avenue, Queens.

All three defendants face charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, in addition to two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree. Their arraignment is scheduled for Friday, January 26, 2024, at First District Court in Hempstead.
