NASSAU COUNTY, NY – A Seaford resident has been arrested following an incident that occurred on Saturday, February 3, 2024. According to police, Nassau County officers from the Seventh Precinct responded to a vehicle fire at 2419 Cedar Street in Seaford. Upon their arrival, they discovered a white Chevy work van completely engulfed in flames in the driveway. The fire had started to spread towards the house, prompting the quick response of the Wantagh Fire Department, who successfully extinguished the fire.
While conducting a search of the residence, officers and firefighters found a significant quantity of ammunition and assorted firearms in the living room. As a result, the homeowner, Charles Musarra, a 62-year-old man, was taken into custody without any resistance. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
Musarra now faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 1st Degree, as well as three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned today, Monday, February 5, 2024, at the First District Court located at 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
