MALIBU, CA – Shannen Doherty, a beloved actress who rose to fame in the 1990s with her roles on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed,” passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the age of 53. Her publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed the news in a statement to People magazine, stating that Doherty died peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment, and in 2017, she announced that the cancer was in remission. However, in 2020, she revealed that the cancer had returned, this time at stage four and spreading to her bones.
