CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – On Tuesday morning, March 4, 2025, the body of 27-year-old Carlos Lopez from Central Islip was discovered on a beach in Blue Point, Long Island. A passerby found Lopez around 6:30 a.m. near the shore at the end of Blue Point Avenue and alerted authorities. Upon arrival, Suffolk County Police officers pronounced Lopez dead at the scene, noting multiple stab wounds.

The beach, located in a tranquil waterfront community, is adjacent to a fishing pier and close to residential areas. Residents expressed shock over the incident, with some mentioning occasional nighttime activity in the beach’s parking lot.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not disclosed any suspects or potential motives. The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is actively investigating the case.
